Volunteer Information - Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

Volunteer Information

Volunteer
- a special category of supporters who donate a very valuable resource: their time and efforts.

Service Hours - hours earned by volunteers while donating their time and efforts. The Food Bank can provide each volunteer with a record of their service hours. These are used for fulfilling educational requirements, community service for minor offenses, demonstrating your active participation in our community and acknowledging your generosity.

Volunteers are the heart and spirit of the Food Bank. Without their help and support, the Food bank could not succeed. Last year, over 1,100 volunteers provided time equivalent to 9 full-time employees by volunteering over 18,000 hours at the Food Bank.
